Matt Cosnett
Matt has worked for the company since 2006. He manages the day to day running of the company covering PE lessons, After School Clubs, Development Centres, Multi Sport Clubs and 1-2-1 sessions. Matt holds a variety of qualifications including, FA level 1 & 2 coaching certificates, FA Youth modules 1 & 2, FA Talent ID, Leisure Management Degree and a BTEC Sports Award.
Matt came through an elite academy college football programme and then progressed into
semi-professional football before a serious knee injury stopped his playing. He now enjoys giving the kids the best experience possible and helping them to learn, develop and achieve their goals. He has a real passion to help improve everyone he coaches and this shows in his enthusiasm when he coaches.
Biagio Mazzotta
Biagio has now worked for the company since 2015 and he has progressed to be one of the senior coaches within the company. He holds a FA Level 1 coaching badge and a Sports Diploma. He coaches PE lessons, after school clubs, external clubs and 1-2-1 sessions.
Biagio has played football for Swindon Schools and North Wilts teams. For the last few years he has been playing locally at a semi-professional level. Coaching has always been Biagio’s dream job and his goal for every session is to give the children the best experience and help them learn something new.
Jack Harper
Jack is our Goalkeeping Coach and Sports Camp Assistant Co-Ordinator. Jack is a fun and enthusiastic coach, who strives to help the children improve their skills. Jack works in our PE, after school and external clubs as wells as being able to provide 1-2-1 Goalkeeping sessions, for those who want to push their focus and skills in becoming a better goalkeeper.
Ian Howell
Company Founder and Director
Ian has over 30 years of coaching experience after working in a variety of roles in the UK & across the USA. He spent 20 years playing as a semi-professional footballer and combining coaching at a number of clubs at Elite Youth Level whilst also developing players at grassroots clubs. He also holds a UEFA “A” licence and has worked at an Elite Level of Youth Development for over 25 years and he is also an FA Tutor supporting the development of less experienced coaches.
Ian's aim for Soccer & Sporting Excellence Academy is to offer high level coaching and development to players of all abilities, helping them enjoy all sports and continuing in their all round development.
